Kalau tak hidup dengan bertuhankan pembaziran dan kecanggihan luar biasa, bukan Dubai namanya. Setuju tak dengan kenyataan tadi? Sebelum Khai kene simbah dengan komen-komen kononnya Khai tak berbangga negara Islam maju, Ok! Bangga tu memanglah bangga. Ianya sebagai membuktikan negara Islam pun boleh maju. Tapi, berpada-padalah berpadanan dengan saranan Islam tu sendiri yang mahu umatnya bersederhana dan tidak melakukan pembaziran yang sia-sia. Bukan Islam sahaja, tapi mana-mana agama pun ye tak? Bersepah kot penganut agama Islam yang masih kais pagi makan pagi, kais petang makan petang. Taknak ditolongnya. Ok, itu peribahasa ye. Nanti ada pulak komen yang cakap Khai samakan orang Islam dengan ayam. Korang power english kot?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/justkhai.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/dubai-lilypad-11.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Water CityBy now, most of us have heard about the Island Cities being built in Dubai , but Inhabitat has just done a feature on a new concept by artist Vincent Callebaut for a self-sufficient floating city that will never have to face a problem about finding land to build on. The &#8220;Lilypad&#8221; would take advantage of all of today&#8217;s green technologies, including generating power from the sun, wind and water, and would produce zero emissions from its residents. Don&#8217;t expect to see construction on one of these anytime soon, but don&#8217;t be surprised if, like the Island Cities in Dubai , real estate starts branching out into the oceans in the next decade. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/justkhai.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/dubai-lilypad-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/justkhai.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/dubai-lilypad-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/justkhai.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/dubai-lilypad-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Each of these floating cities are designed to hold approximately around 50,000 people. A mixed terrain man-made landscape, provided by an artificial lagoon and three ridges, create a diverse environment for the inhabitants. Each Lilypad is intended to be either near a coast, or floating around in the ocean, traveling from the equator to the northern seas, according to where the gulf stream takes it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/justkhai.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/dubai-lilypad-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/justkhai.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/dubai-lilypad-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/justkhai.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/dubai-lilypad-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The project isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even close to happening anytime soon, but there is value in future forward designs like the Lilypad.
